Our City, Our Square is convened by Citizens for Melbourne Inc.
Our campaign demands Fed Square remains Melbourne's Civic Square:
this means preventing its corporatisation by Apple Inc,
as proposed by the Andrews Government and Fed Square Pty Ltd.
Citizens for Melbourne is an association of passionate people advocating for quality public spaces in our city and suburbs. Our aim is to connect people and organisations aligned with this goal. We believe that any change to the public spaces of our city must be transparent, follow democratic processes and deliver broad public benefits. We are an independent volunteer association that is not affiliated with any political party.
The convenors of Citizens for Melbourne Inc. are Tania Davidge, Brett de Hoedt, Shelley Freeman, James Lesh, Melinda Ovens, Michael Smith and Rohan Storey.
Our campaign has already received media coverage in Australia and internationally. We are available for interview and to provide background. We can also link you to experts in architecture, planning and Federation Square history.
Phone: Brett de Hoedt on 0414 713 802.
